Bicycles can be considered a rite of passage for many people. Not only do you learn how to ride a bike but you also get help from a loved one. This concept has been passed down generations to generations. However, what if something so simple, can ruin this joy ride? Did you know by just wearing helmets, it can save people’s lives? Each year, 70,000 bicyclists suffer serious head injuries. Many never even fully recover at all. Researchers say that bicycle helmets can prevent three out of four serious cycling head injuries. Sounds like a good idea doesn’t it? A helmet can save time, money, and most importantly, a person’s life. Sometimes people perceive helmets as something meaningless, and shouldn’t belong in practices or routines. Everyone wears helmets, from cyclists to athletes. Be sensible, and wear a helmet. You will protect yourself, and let loved ones know that you care about others and especially yourself. Please wear a helmet. More safety means fewer injuries.
